One Wire Clearance and Side Marker Light Options to Replace Lights on Horton Hauler Trailer
Products Featured in This Question
Question:
Having to replace some marker lights on an early 2000s model Horton Hauler. The current marker lights both red and amber only have a single wire coming out of the side of the trailer. What product do you have that is a replacement for this type of set up. I am assuming a single wire with hardware mounting ground options. Could you please provide product numbers of what I need? Thanks.

We have quite a few different options for trailer clearance lights with one wire and that will ground through the mounting hardware. These lights come in various sizes and shapes. The best replacement for your trailer will depend on the size light you are wanting to replace.
For a small LED clearance light that is a stud-mount, you can use the Optronics Sealed Mini Rectangular LED Stud Mount Trailer Clearance Light. For an amber light you will want # MCL95AB and for a red light # MCL95RB. These lights measure 2-1/8 inch log x 1-1/8 inch wide x 1-1/16 inch deep.
For a square light that is stud-mounted, we offer the Optronics Square Trailer Clearance and Side Marker Light With Reflector. Part # MC36AB is for an amber light, and for a red light you will want # MC36RB. These incandescent lights measure 2-3/4 inches long x 2-1/8 inches wide x 1 inch deep.
The Optronics Oval Trailer Clearance and Side Marker Light with Reflector is another great option. For the amber light use # MC38AB and for the red light # MC38RB. These lights have an incandescent bulb and will require mounting hardware for the light to install and ground. The light mounts on standard 3 inch centers. Dimensions for the Oval lights are 4 inches long x 2-1/16 inches wide x 1-5/32 inches deep.
Some other options are the Optronics Rectangular LED Trailer Clearance and Side Marker Light with Reflector # MCL44AB1, # MCL44RB1, the Optronics Sealed Mini LED Side Marker and Clearance/Identification Light # MCL131R2B, and the lights you referenced the Optronics Double Bullseye Trailer Clearance and Side Marker Light # MC42AB, # MC42RB. All of these lights will mount through the mounting hardware. If you do not already have holes to mount the lights on your trailer, hardware like self-tapping screws will ease installation of the lights.
I have attached several installation or view videos of the lights I have mentioned for your convenience. I have also linked all of our trailer clearance lights.
