Is There a Larger Tire Size Than 5.70-8 For an 8 Inch Wheel

Question:

I have 5-70x8 tires now What would be the next sizes up keeping the 8inch wheel .. Clearance is not a issue.. Looking to see if their are other options for sizes

The 5.70-8 tire size is about the largest diameter tire available for an 8 inch rim. Your current tire is about 18 inches in diameter and has a tread width of 5.9 inches.

A 215/60-8 tire is about the same diameter, but has a wider tread width at 8.9 inches. Because of the increased tire width, you wouldn't be able to reuse your existing wheels. You'd need to go with a wider wheel, or use a wheel/tire combo like part # AM3H290 for a 4 on 4 bolt pattern with a Load Range C tire or # AM3H310 for a 5 on 4-1/2 inch wheel bolt pattern.

If you go with a 215/60-8 tire, keep in mind that you'll need additional clearance to the inside of the tire, as the wider tire would come approximately 1-1/2 inches closer to the trailer frame.

We don't have any 8" wheels with that lug pattern. The only 4 lug options we have feature a 4 on 4" pattern, such as the Americana # AM20021. I would make sure you're measuring your existing pattern correctly, because I've not really hard of that particular pattern. You should be measuring from the center of one lug hole to the center of the hole at the opposite side.
