What Does it Mean when a Trailer Light is Listed as Waterproof or Submersible
Question:
Is there a difference between lights listed as waterproof and submersible? Are waterproof LED trailer lights truly submersible?

When it comes to trailer taillights the terms waterproof and submersible are somewhat interchangeable. If a taillight is considered submersible that means that the internal circuits are waterproof and would be protected for if you were to back the trailer into water like when launching a boat.
The part # TLL56RK that you referenced is listed as waterproof and submersible so it would work great on a boat trailer.
Lights that aren't waterproof or submersible will still work just fine on a trailer driven through rain. They just wouldn't work great on a boat trailer. Even if the lights on a boat trailer are all submersible you will still want to disconnect the trailer wiring before backing the trailer in the water as a precaution.
