Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today I'm gonna take a look at this 3/8 inch diameter by four inch long Leaf Spring Center Tie Bolt with the nut. Now, this is a replacement Spring Center Tie Bolt that is used when replacing a leaf or adding a leaf to your leaf spring's suspension system. Basically this Leaf Spring center bolt is a piece of hardware and it's finely threaded down the entire length. And it has the round button head at one end. The other end is designed to accept this included nut.
Now this bolt performs double duty by holding the spring leafs together and centering the spring pack in the axle housing. Just wanted to pop up an insert to show you what we're talking about. If you look there, you can see this leaf spring and this is right in the center of it that holds those springs all together. Basically that bolt will run through the holes that are punched in the center of the spring leafs and when the spring is assembled, the center bolt is installed and the nut is put on there and torqued. Then when that whole spring is installed in the vehicle the round buttoned head right here on the center bolt will be used to position the spring in a pocket in the axle.
The spring bolt head will locate the spring and ensure that the axle will be in alignment. We mentioned this is 3/8 inch diameter. The length of it is always measured just under the head. So there's your four inch length and it does include the one bolt and the one nut. But that should do it for the review on the 3/8 inch diameter by four inch long Leaf Spring center tie bolt with the nut.

Works great. Long enough to add 2 extra leaf springs, and could add more if need to. Highly recommend this product
