Bearing Kit Recommendation Using L44649 Inner And Outer Bearings

Question:

I am looking for a bearing kit race bearing seal etc.My inside bearing is a L44649 outside is L44649 the same bearing. My seal # is 12194TC do you have a bearing kit with a seal that will work for my trailer? Thanks

We do offer bearing kits that have part # L44649 for the inner and outer bearings, but the seal included in the kit does not match the 12194TC seal you said you have. We do have replacement seals that may work just fine for you.

I did some research and found that the 12194TC seal you said you have measures 1.250 inside diameter, and 1.979 outside diameter. The seal I recommend is part # 34823. The dimensions listed for this seal are 1.249 inside diameter and 1.983 outside diameter. The difference of .004 is very minimal but you will still need to use caution when installing. I recommend using a piece of wood and tapping gently until the seal is seated in place.

The bearing kit I recommend is part # BK1-150. This includes inner and outer bearings and races, a grease seal, cotter pin and washer.

Hello Jeffery I have this seal and both bearings on my trailer, its an EZ loader boat trailer and has an Oil Bath system instead of grease. Do you see any concerns with this for my application?

@Kevin The 12194TC seal is an oil seal. The # 34823 is 0.004 larger in outside diameter and 0.001 smaller in inside diameter. Will it do in a pinch as a temporary short term replacement? Sure. If it were my trailer, I'd feel more comfortable using the # 12194TC for the long run. We don't offer it, but you can find it by doing a Google search.
