Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.

Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.

In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

DrawTight makes a great hitch; quality materials and excellent welding. This hitch fit my 2010 Tundra perfectly. I installed it in half an hour with the help of an air wrench. Pay attention to the instructions as to which part goes where, particularly the lock washers. Inspect and separate the hardware into piles and the installation should go smoothly. I'll be using it to tow my white water dory and mount my bike rack and look forward to the fun of using those toys.

Very strong and very sturdy hitch. My husband installed it on his truck in no time. Looking forward to pulling the boat and kayaks using this hitch!

My second etrailer hitch; both excellent! Price is right, shipping right on time, product beautifully welded & powder-coated. Haven’t installed the 2nd one yet, but carefully inspected mounting hardware and it looks perfect. Jim

2008 Toyota Tundra

Quality of the product seems very good. Instructions, in particular the videos on the ETrailer.com site, are very good. I won't knock a star for UPS and their horrible shipping practices, the packaging was fairly destroyed.

by:
2007 Toyota Tundra

Delivered well before the given date. Super easy to install with correct tools as well as videos to walk you through it. Clear instructions came with it. Box was a little tore up but no damage to product. Solid, strong and looks great!

by:

Shipping was faster than expected. The hitch came with all hardware and clear, easy to read/understand instructions specifically for my truck. I will definitely purchase here again when the need arises.

The hitch came right on time and installation was easy. Directions were easy to follow and it fit our 2011 Tundra well. Have not tried hauling with it yet but the build gives me confidence it will do a good job.

2" reciver installationThe installation of the 2" receiver went very smoothly. Found all the hardware was included which is always a plus. The installation took only about 20 minutes which was also nice because the temperature was only 10 degrees F.

Product was well fitted for my tundra. With help from my marvelous wife we had the hitch installed in less than one hour. Yes. I would recommend this item!

by:

It arrived within two days of when I ordered it and in great shape. They actually upgraded my shipping at no extra cost to me. All the parts were there. The hitch alligned perfectly with the preexcisting holes and was easy to bolt on. Looks great! Wouldn't have taken long to install either if it weren't for 110 degree weather. Still only took about 45min to an hour.

by:

Hitch was a perfect fit and tucks in nicely under the sport roll pan on my Tundra!

by:
2016 Toyota Tundra

by:

Came in on time looks great but I haven’t installed it yet. But the videos seem like it’s real easy to install.

by:

Very high quality. Compared to similar products this is a GREAT value. The install video on the website is a really nice bonus!

by:

Haven't pulled with it yet but install was extremely easy. About 30-40 min by myself with most of the right tools. :-)

Looks good and all the parts were spot on for fit.

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation For 2017 Toyota Tundra
The hitch I recommend for your 2017 Toyota Tundra is from Draw-Tite: - Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75527 I really like the quality of the Draw-Tite brand, as well as the more subtle powder coat finish compared to other hitches, which have a shinier gloss. Your Tundra's 2" lift will not affect the fit as the Draw-Tite hitch will install to the frame rail, so it will be a perfect fit. I have added a link below to a video install on a similar model year Tundra, as well...

  • Trailer Hitch and Weight Distribution Recommendation for 2016 Toyota Tundra
For your 2016 Toyota Tundra the Draw Tite hitch part # 75527 is the most popular option we have. Based on the capacities of this hitch the weight distribution system that would work best would be the Reese Strait-Line # RP66083 which has a tongue weight range of 400-800 lbs and the only sway control system that works to fight sway before it starts. For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.

  • Trailer Connector for Towing Surge Coupler Equipped Trailer With 2013 Toyota Tundra
I'll begin with the assumption that your new pontoon trailer has hydraulic surge brakes. This type of braking system uses a hydraulic coupler that compresses when the tow vehicle brakes, and the compression is what causes the brakes to actuate. A trailer like this usually uses a 5 pole flat trailer connector, with the extra circuit being the reverse lock out. The reverse lock utilizes a solenoid that prevents the brakes from applying with you attempt to back the trailer. Otherwise, especially...

  • How Much Weight Can I Tow With A 2013 Toyota Tundra CrewMax
I was able to find the owner's manual for the 2013 Toyota Tundra Crew Max and the tow capacity depends on the engine and bed type. It does look like your truck is a Crew Max because you have two sets of full sized doors on the cab. There is also a certain model code depending on your truck that would be indicated on the certification label of your truck located on the driver's side door jamb. The engine number is stamped onto the engine block. I have attached a chart for your reference....

  • Aftermarket Hitch for 2012 Toyota Tundra Rock Warrior TRD with Damaged Factory-Installed Hitch
We do offer a range of trailer hitch options for your 2012 Toyota Tundra Rock Warrior TRD. Since your factory-installed hitch has been damaged you'll naturally need to remove this entirely. After doing so I suggest you very carefully inspect the OEM hitch's attachment points on the frame rails to ensure no vehicle damage was sustained when the hitch was broken. I would also check that the threads in the frame's weld nuts (that accept the hitch installation bolts) were not damaged in the...

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2013 Toyota Tundra
Well, hopefully they didn't actually order # 75547 because that hitch is for a 2007 to 2011 Honda CR-V and will NOT fit your 2013 Toyota Tundra. The hitch you need is # 75527 like you said. Pretty much everything is going to be different between these 2 hitches with the exception that both have a 2 inch receiver opening, are made of steel, and have a black powder coat finish. Other than that they are completely different sizes. For the correct hitch, # 75527, if you plan on doing some...

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2018 Toyota Tundra
For your 2018 Toyota Tundra the Draw Tite Hitch part # 41935 is our highest rated trailer hitch with towing capacities of 12,000 lbs trailer weight. If you don't plan on towing that much weight the lighter duty part # 75527 would be a great option as well. It has a trailer weight capacity of 6,000 lbs.

  • Can Class III Trailer Hitch on 2009 Toyota Tundra be Used to Tow 7x12 Utility Trailer
The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75527 has a towing weight capacity of 6,000 lbs and then that is bumped up to 8,000 lbs when used with a weight distribution (WD) system. I would imagine that this is enough but the only way to really be sure is to make sure that your loaded trailer and/or the GVWR (found on a sticker near the tongue) doesn't exceed these weight capacities as well as the towing capacity of your 2009 Toyota Tundra. You also need some wiring to activate your...

  • Weight Distribution Recommendation for Towing Fleetwood That Weighs 6,700 lbs
We actually don't offer trailer hitches that fit your 2017 Ford Expedition since all versions of the vehicle come with a factory hitch. If the reason you want a different hitch is because you are trying to tow beyond the capacity of the vehicle then you should note there isn't a way to accomplish that. That said, I did some checking on your vehicle and it looks like if you plan to tow over 6,600 lbs you'd need to have had the heavy duty trailer package installed and you'd need to use...

The Thule Hitching Post Pro 4-Bike Rack # TH934XTR will absolutely allow you to open the tailgate of your 2019 Toyota Tundra when you have the rack folded down. In fact, we test fit this bike rack on a 2019 Tundra, and as you can see by the photo I added from the linked video review, the tailgate is fully open when the Hitching Post Pro is folded down. There are frame-mounted tie-downs that fit your 2007 Toyota Tundra with an 8-foot bed, though you need to have an OEM or aftermarket hitch like the Draw-Tite # 75527, and your truck cannot have any type of running boards or steps that reach the truck bed. So long as your truck meets those criteria, here are the frame-mounted tie-downs that fit: - Front: TorkLift Custom Frame-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs # TLT2305 - Rear: TorkLift Custom Frame-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs # TLT3304 The only other...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch To Pull 32 ft Fleetwood Travel Trailer
To determine if your 2011 Toyota Tundra can pull your 32 ft travel trailer, you will need to find the towing capacity of your Tundra and the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the trailer to determine if you can tow the trailer safely. You will want to check your owners manual to verify the rating. Based on my research it looks like your Fleetwood may have a dry weight of 6400 lbs and 860 lbs hitch weight. I checked with Draw-Tite and trailer hitch # 75527 fits all models of the 2010 Toyota Tundra WITHOUT factory installed trailer hitch. If the hitch on your truck now was a dealer installed option and not a factory installed hitch then you can remove it and install hitch # 75527 as long as the existing hitch is not welded on. I would definitely recommend Equal-i-zer for a weight distribution hitch. Unlike other companies with tons of products, Equal-i-zer only focuses on weight distribution and is considered to be the best overall system. Choosing the right hitch will depend on the loaded tongue weight of your setup. Tongue weight is typically 10-15% of your trailer weight. With a GVWR of 4,999 lbs you're potentially looking at 500-750 lbs of tongue weight from the trailer. You also need to include the weight...
