Thule Hitching Post Pro Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches
Receieved very quickly from etrailer, thank you! Was easy to assemble and install on my 2012 Toyota Rav 4. Haven't tried using it yet, but it appears superior to a really inexpensive rack I am using on my older 1997 4Runner. I don't expect there will be any problems at all. It will be used for carrying a Trek touring bike, and an older Diamonback off road bike.
I have used my bike rack about 7 times in a year and have loved it. It is quality and over all pretty easy to load and unload. It can hold up to 4 bikes, but 3 is more realistic. We take the bikes from Houston to Galveston on the highway and even at 75mph I feel confident. I would buy a Thule again and shop with etrailer too.

Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Our first trip we hauled our 2 mountain bikes 300 miles to the beach with our 4Runner without a bit of trouble. The bikes rode as smooth as silk and never budged. It's easy to mount them on the rack and very sturdy. Great customer service throughout the process. A great experience and quality product for a fair price.
The bike rack was very easy to assemble and appears well designed and well made. Excellent value.

Kuat Beta Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Trailer Hitches - Tilting
Great product. Use it every weekend for hauls nh bikes to the mountain.
I've owned just about every major type of rack over the years based on vehicle application. Needed a hanging rack for my new 4Runner and the KUAT Beta delivers. It is light weight, highly engineered and uses qualitative materials. The positive pins are quick and easy giving me a piece of mind over cam lock mechanisms. Two anti wobble mechanisms are built in and they are solid. I am jazzed that the rack is made of aluminum and weighs less than my bike - unlike many others that are 2x that weight. It folds flat for easy storage too. Excellent design / job KUAT. Etrailer's service is tops too!

Rhino-Rack Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Tilting
I purchased this bike rack a year ago and I use it A LOT. I had to buy and install a stabilizer because without it, the unit would sway back and forth even without a bike on it (very noisy). This makes removal more cumbersome but since I keep the hitch on year round it doesn't matter to me. The tilting function is fabulous allowing easy use of my RAV4 hatchback. I can even tilt it down with a bike on it. I got the 2 bike hitch. Plenty of room for two bikes to fit without rubbing. Lastly, the hitch has a sizable through-hole on the bottom to thread a good sized cable so I can lock my bike up. Sturdy. I highly recommend.

RockyMounts MonoRail Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount
Exceptionally solid hitch mount / tray platform type bicycle carrier. I The instructions were very clear and complete - with one exception of the the tray straps and strap extenders (not shown/mentioned). Some basic assembly was required - again the directions were very clear and everything need was supplied in the package. I took my time and it only took 15 minutes. The bike rack is outstanding in design, quality of materials, construction and function. It's very solid in all 3 positions (carrying bikes, laid 'down' to open the tailgate, and 'stowed' in the up/close position when not carrying bikes. I've had bike racks from other 'big name' vendors - this Rocky Mounts rack is much better, and less expensive.
Very good quality rack

Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount - Gunmetal Gray
This thing is built like a tank! It is of the best fit and funtion I have seen in a bike rack! Solid as can be, fits my bikes perfectly and looks awesome! Plus it folds completely out of the way to access the rear liftgate on my 2022 Rav4!
Great service from etrailer and the rack arrived as expected. Fairly easy assembly. OK video on Kuat’s site, but didn’t cover the foot pedal. Really glad we got the 2” hitch. It tightened up and we’re impressed with the quality and the stability of the rack. We haven’t done a road test yet, but look forward to putting it to the test. We have a Ford F-150 and it works great. The bikes were fairly easy to load with the batteries out and two people. We do need the strap extenders for our RadMini Step Thru’s. The tires are too big for the ones that come with. Only one set of extenders came with the bike and one adapter for a smaller tire. It’s okay, but since it’s a two bike unit, would have been nice to have both extenders. Otherwise, we are really liking the look and stability.

Swagman Fork Down Roof Mounted Bike Carrier - Fork Mount
Goes together quickly, appears that it will fit my needs in terms of being cross-compatible on a variety of vehicles. Fit on a Subaru Outback factory crossbar and transported bike locally with no issues when I got it out to set up and test (not quite warm enough to ride much yet where I live). Instructions are not super, but the assembly is pretty straightforward so that is not a problem. At the price point, if this rack indeed holds up to swapping onto multiple vehicles and lasts me a few years, I'll be thrilled with the purchase.
I purchased two of these racks, along with another rack that is meant to hold bikes with both tires still installed. I am extremely happy with all three of them. This rack specifically is very sturdy. Installation was sort of a pain, but that was mostly due to me installing it on the top of my 2004 GMC Yukon XL...it is so high that it was a little hard to install. But now that it's installed, it's actually very simple to take the bikes on and off. I've made one round trip with these racks, so I've put the bikes up there and removed them twice. Both trips (about 100 miles each way) they bikes were super sturdy and I had no concerns about them falling off or anything like that. I would definitely recommend this rack if you're looking for a fork down roof mounted bike carrier. In fact, I will very likely get another one when we add another bike to the family. I think I'll be able to fit four racks on the top of my Yukon easily. One last note - I was initially concerned about the height of my vehicle when bikes were on top of them. I brushed a couple of tree limbs when pulling into my camping spot, but it was no big deal. I think the total height of my load was about 10 feet, which was lower than the camper that I was pulling.

Swagman Chinook Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Truly grooving on my wife's new Swagman Chinook bike rack. She wanted to be able to transport her nice road bike easily without throwing it in the back of her car, and since a roof rack is out of the question, this Swagman model fit the bill perfectly. It arrived quickly on the anticipated date. Kudos to etrailer.com for the email updates to keep me informed of my purchase. Within one hour, it was installed on my wife's 2014 Mazda3 hatchback. The Swagman is heavy and solid, which is reassuring as it makes me feel confident that it will keep the bikes secure. It also makes me feel like I got my money's worth. A ratchet wrench and Phillip's head screwdriver were the only tools required for the easy install. I did my research before purchasing the Chinook model as I was also eyeballing a very similar Thule rack that was slightly more expensive. I spoke with an etrailer.com expert who gave me the lowdown on both models. Ultimately, the Swagman won out because it has a smaller 'footprint' while extended or folded up ... and also can tilt away from the car for easy access to the hatchback area. Very convenient! FYI: Mazda doesn't make a trailer hitch for the Mazda3 as it's a small car with a small engine and has no business towing anything. Thankfully, the Curt company makes an aftermarket frame and trailer hitch that fits the Mazda3 hatchback perfectly with no drilling. Stupidly, I purchased it from another online company thinking I was getting a good deal. Turns out etrailer.com had it for less with FREE shipping. Oh well ... live and learn. Now I know that etrailer.com is one-stop shopping for bike racks AND trailer hitches. (Full disclosure: I had the garage down the street install the frame as it's easier with a lift) Only snafu: the shipment contained an extra set of keys that I assumed was for the hitch bolt lock (there was also a set of keys on the bolt itself). I spent 15 minutes using those keys trying to figure out how to remove the lock from the bolt to install it on the hitch. The keys just wouldn't turn in the lock. I called etrailer.com and Kevin told me to try the other set of keys ... and they worked. So an extra set of keys came with it that did absolutely nothing ... weird! Obviously, I can't speak to the longevity and durability of the Swagman Chinook 2 Bike Platform Rack as I just installed it. What I can speak to is the sturdiness of it, the ease of the installation and my complete satisfaction with the good folks at etrailer.com.
I ordered the Swagman Chinook 2 Bike Platform Rack on line from etrailer and so far have been very satisfied. The bike rack was delivered in less than a week. Unpacking the rack and assembly was fairly straightforward. I have read some reviews that complained the assembly instructions were a bit vague. I didn't have a problem but can see where others without a mechanical background get confused. The rack is very sturdy, but there is some side to side play in the tilt mechanism. I'm not sure this can be avoided with a rack that folds down. Installing the Curt trunk stabilizing strap takes most of the sway out of the rack. Installation is fairly easy and quick. It takes me 6 - 7 minutes to install the back on my hitch, and to install the bike and be ready to drive away. That seems reasonable to me. So far I've only loaded 1 bike. I've included pictures of my installation on a 2014 Mercedes Benz E350 sedan. Clearance between the bikes, the rack and the car are good. With the bike loaded in the inside, most forward position, I have 6" clearance between the pedal and the bumper. With the bike removed, the center support folded flat and the rack folded up in the storage position, I have 4" clearance between the closest part of the bike rack (the fold down hinge assembly) and the back bumper of the car. I am able to open the trunk of the car without removing the bikes or using the tilt feature, but I do have to remove the stabilizing strap first. Overall, I'm very pleased with the bike rack and think it will serve me much better than my old strap on rack. Since the weather has been cool since getting the bike carrier, I haven't taken any long trips to give it a real workout.

Kuat NV 2.0 Base Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount - Matte Black
I've taken this rack all over New England on the front of my Dodge Ram 3500 pick up truck with a truck camper. I had no idea it was possible to love a bike rack so much. After one drive I didn't ever worry about it again. So nice that it locks up when I am camping or taking a quick stop for food on the road. So glad I bought it from etrailer. They totally help me pick the perfect rack for my challenging set up.
Still very new, but what an awesome bike rack! Assembly was a snap and the rack is rock-solid when you secure it to the hitch receiver. etrailer was amazing too - excellent communication, price and fast, free delivery. Overall I am extremely happy with the rack and service!

Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount - Gunmetal Gray
My Kuat NV 2. Bike Rack is the best bike rack I have ever owned. It is excellent for electric bikes. Very easy to load bikes and holds bikes very securely.
This bike rack is built extremely good. It is solid and the bikes are easy to put on and off the rack. The reason for the 3 stars are the following. I purchased the 4 bike rack together. It comes in two seperate boxes one for the main unit and the other for the additonal two bike add on. However, even purchasing this as one unit the two units are keyed different. If I have 4 bikes on the rack and lock the bikes I have to have two different keys to unlock the bikes. Why? The main unit came with some scratches on it. However, I know that putting bikes on and off the unit will get scratched. It is disappointing to see the amount of money this bike rack cost to come already scratched. The other major issue with having the four bike rack is the ability to have all 4 bikes on the rack and tilt the rack down to get into the hatch of the vehilce. The manufacture could provide an extention to the lever so that when the rack is setup for 4 bikes it can be tilted without the assistance of another person. Only comes with two child bike adaptors.

Yakima HoldUp Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount
We needed a bike carrier that could handle our heavy 55 lb e-bikes. Looks like this one will do it just fine. I like the built in locking cable feature, and locked hitch bolt. Folds up nice, out of the way, when not in use.
I purchased a Pedego electric bike for Debera for her birthday. Our old rack wasn't built for the weight of the Pedego. After checking on line, I seen that the Yakima HoldUp 2 was adequate for the amount of weight we had to deal with. We placed an order sunday night an by tuesday afternoon we had our new rack. I have a Toyota 4Runner, which was not on the list of vehicles that would except this rack. After trying to install the rack, I could see that the spare tire is right up against the back side of the receiver on the vehicle. I did a slight modification of cutting 3/4 inch. off the backside of the racks 2X2 inch. male portion, allowing the rack to slide in far enough to let the racks locking pin to be inserted and screw in place, holding the rack very snug. The slight modification in which I did, did not hinder the structural integrity of the unit, what so ever. We have gone a total of four rides with the new rack an have been very pleased with its performance. The rack holds tight to the vehicle, the bikes have very little movement, the single key locking system is convenient. So to sum it up, we are very pleased with your service and the service of the product in which we have purchased from you, 5 stars all the way!

Saris Freedom Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
I had to put my electric bikes into this rack, backwards, to make them fit. Not ideal, but it works. The receiving 'trays' that are intended to provide support for holding the bikes, by being placed under the bike tires, are forced to be moved to a location that is not directly under the bottom of the bike tires. While it works in this manner, it is not ideal. For the support that attaches to the diagonal bike frame, we had to remove it from the vertical rail of the rack. We reinstalled it, upside down, because that's the only way we could make it fit, or 'grab', the bike frame. Again, we made it work, but it's not ideal. We chose to keep the rack because it was so much less expensive than the Thule rack we considered buying. The bike shop owner didn't agree with us. He observed that we are putting $3000 worth of bikes on the rack and risking that investment. So far, no problems, other than the ill-fitting installation.
With a few adjustments this rack has delivered. Needed to add additional strapping since the provide straps for securing the bikes to center bar were not long enough due to my ebike design (Velotric). My bikes are step through with a thick frame so provided straps won't fit. Simple adjustment with strapping resolved minor issue. Speed of 73 mph on the highway and some bumpy VT roads and this rack performed.

Swagman XTC4 Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Assembly was easy using a socket wrench. This review is after our 1st 300 mile round trip. It rode well, didn't bounce around. The bikes were well secured, didn't bounce around. Bike rack was mounted on our 4Runner. Carried 1 large 26" full suspension MTN bike, 1 large 29" full suspension Mtn bike, 1 med Female 29" full suspension Mtn bike, & 1 med Female 29" hard tail Mtn bike. We were able to load the bikes easily alternating orientation left and right. All bikes are under 35#s Came with the locking pin and cable.
So far I’ve just assembled it and took a quick test drive around the block. My initial thought is this thing is perfect. It’s super sturdy and easy to use. My only gripe and it’s not fault of the rack, but it’s heavy…

Saris SuperClamp EX Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount - Tilting
This bike rack is a tremendous value. Cheaper and just as good as comparable racks that cost twice as much. The rack has performed superbly. One caution: the manufacturer’s packaging is poorly designed, and insufficient to safely ship a 60+ pound bike rack. The steel parts of the rack shifted during transit and broke several molded plastic components. Saris’ customer service folks were excellent, and promptly sent replacements for the components that were broken in transit. The improper packaging was not etrailer’s fault. Saris should reengineer their packaging for this item.
This is great bike rack. It arrived fast and just in time for our trip in mid July. My husband and I put it together quickly, we looked at a [online] video for how to put it together and went by the instructions booklets. It took us under an hour to put it together. It is very simple to load and unload bikes on it and the bikes stayed stable throughout our 600 mile trip and back. So overall, I am very satisfied with this bike rack. Will now see how it holds up with time.

Swagman Upright Bike Rack for 1 Bike - Roof Rack Crossbars - Frame Mount
Planning on bringing bikes while camping. I mounted 2 of the Swagman bike racks to my new Sportrack on my pop-up camper. The bikes fit perfectly. The racks seem sturdy enough. Not heavy duty, but for my needs they should be fine. Assembly was relatively fast and easy.
We have used the Swagman Roof Rack a number of times when we have needed the additional bike carrying capacity. It took a couple attempts to get the initial spacing of the bike rack properly balanced on the van’s roof rack as recommended by the instructions. But it was easy to do and once set was very easy and quick to put on and take off. The rack works great, the bike is easy to put into place and secure. The bike and rack are very stable and quiet and haven’t required any mid-trip adjustments. We always put the cheapest bike on the roof (lol) but do use a bit of duct tape to protect the finish just Incase. We are very satisfied with the rack and consider it quite a deal for the money.

Yakima FrontLoader Wheel Mount Bike Carrier - Roof Mount
Overall I am happy with these bike carriers. They mount to the racks over the bed of my Tundra TRD Pro. Installation is simple. I think they could be just a bit sturdier because there is just a bit of wobbling when driving on bumpy roads but I'm not too worried about them coming dislodged. Take note that although they come with a cable lock to attach the bike to the carrier, the key is sold separately.
Very good product. It holds the bike securely on the roof without contacting the frame. It is easy to adjust from my road bike to my 29er mountain bike. Our drives are all relatively short, so I like that I do not need to remove the front wheel to lock in the bike. It's also nice that the SKS locking system allows me to use the same key for this rack that I use for my Yakima roof box and hitch rack. This is my first roof rack and I chose this route for a couple reasons. Some of the roads we travel to get to our trail heads are a bit rough and with a roof rack I don't have to worry about bottoming out a hitch rack hanging off the back of the vehicle. Also, it takes up less room in the garage. Our vehicle is a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee with an additional 4 inches of ground clearance. That makes it a bit of a reach for my 5'4" wife, so we take our two-step along to help her. This is my third time purchasing from etrailer, and each experience has been very good. They are a very customer service oriented company. I really appreciate all the additional information they provide on their products, especially all the videos they produce to aid in reviews, assembly, and use.

Thule Passage Trunk Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - Hanging Style
Easy to assemble and on/off vehicle.
Excellent and prompt customer service! When I first ordered my product it wasn’t in stock— staff were quick to let me know and offered me comparable products. I ended up waiting for my original order and shipping quick and they stayed in touch with ideas! Thule: The instructions could be a little more detailed. I ended up watching YouTube videos to help me instal. Overall it was easy, and this was the first rack I’ve ever installed and I did it by myself! I was surprised to learn the bike rack is in no way secured inside your vehicle, so.. I store it in my garage when it’s on.

Curt Bike Rack for 5 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Tilting
It was obvious that we received a product that was returned by someone else when the box was overly taped shut, a support collar was broken, and most of the pieces were out of their ripped plastic bags. However, it was a great price to hold 5, 26" and/or 27" Trek bikes. I used a piece of the broken collar and went ahead and assembled the rack. Due to the weight of the 5 bikes it did not wobble that much when driving, as one of the bike tires was up against my car. I can only imagine that if we received an untampered product that this review would have been 5 stars. The picture is a little hard to see, but there are 5 Trek bikes on the rack on my 2020 Toyota Seinna.
We received a damaged box, damaged items, no instructions, the nuts and bolts are completely stripped and not inside a bag. This was obviously used, returned, not checked for quality and sent out. We are extremely upset.

They used to have two pins on either side, you'd have to pull one out and hold it out and then you'd have to remove one completely and tilt it away.

We're going to have this frame hook up at the front. Excuse me, we're going to have this wheel hook up at the front. The advantage to having the wheel hook over the frame hook is you don't have to purchase any aftermarket accessories like bike adapter bars for alternate frame bikes, plus it's a lot easier on your carbon frame bikes because it grips it by your wheel instead.

While holding onto the bike rack, we'll pull out, let the bike rack come down, and now we have that rear hatch access.

Today on our 2012 Toyota Four Runner, we're going to be test fitting the Malone four bike platform rack, part number MPG2112-2115. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's take a closer look and show out some of the features. One of the most prominent features of this bike rack is the fact that it can tilt away from the vehicle with all four bikes still attached so we can gain rear hatch access. To do that, we come up to the base here where this snap pin is. Release that. You're going to lift up slightly on the rack to release the pin.
Malone Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2012 Toyota 4Runner MPG2130
Today on our 2012 Toyota Forerunner, we're going to be test fitting the Malone RunWay three bike rack for 1 1/4 inch to 2 inch hitches, part number MPG 2130. We already have it installed on our vehicle and have a bike installed on it as well, so let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. How the bike actually attaches to the rack, we're going to have three points of contact. We're going to have two straps up at the top here, and one off to the side here, and that's going to serve as an anti-sway cradle to keep the bike from moving too far back and forth and causing bike to bike contact. I would like to point out that while we have a wheel strap attached to it now, that does not come with the bike rack because once you have all three bikes attached there is a stabilization strap that wraps through all three to keep them together, and to keep the tires from going too far into the vehicle. The cradles are padded and movable, and have these grooves on the inside so that your cables of your bike will actually sit in there as opposed to being crushed up against your frame once it's being installed.
Malone Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2012 Toyota 4Runner MPG2109
Today on our 2012 Toyota 4-Runner we're going to be test fitting the Malone Pilot Solo Two Bike Platform Rack for 1-1/4" and 2" hitches, part number MPG2109. We already have a bike installed on our rack, so let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. One of the more prominent features about this bike, or about this platform rack, excuse me, is the fact that it can tilt away from the vehicle with both bikes still attached so we can get rear hatch access. To do that, we'll come up to the front here, and see it has this pin. Release the snap portion of the pin on the other side, lift up slightly on the rack to remove the pin. You'll notice that even with the pin removed, the bike rack actually isn't tilting away. This is a safety feature because it has a catch up at the front to prevent that from happening.
Malone Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2012 Toyota 4Runner MPG2112
Today on our 2012 Toyota 4Runner, we're going to be test fitting thew Malone Pilot Two-Bike Platform Rack for 2" hitches, part number MPG2112. We already have a bike installed on the rack, so let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. One of the more prominent features about this bike rack is the fact that it can tilt away from the vehicle with both bikes still attached, so we can gain rear hatch access. To do that, at the base here you'll see this pin. Pop that loose, lift up slightly on the rack. I'll loosen up the pin, and at this point you'll notice that it actually doesn't come down at all. That's because there's a catch up at the front, and that's for more of a safety precaution, so it doesn't come falling down on you when you have all the bikes attached at once. So, what you do is you pull out and now you're able to tilt away. It does come pretty close contact, almost pretty close contact with our bike here, so if your handlebars go out a little bit further, you may have fit issues with that.
Malone Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2012 Toyota 4Runner MPG2124
Today on our 2012 Toyota 4Runner we're going to be test fitting the Malone hanger 4 bike rack, for 1 1/4" and 2" hitches, part number MPG2124. We already have a bike installed on the rack lets take a closer look and show off some of the features. How the bike is held into place, we're going to have two points of contact with the frame. This strap here, and this strap here. The one off to the side is going to serve as an anti sway cradle to keep the bike from moving too far back and forth and making bike to bike contact. The cradles are adjustable, back and forth and side to side.
Malone Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2012 Toyota 4Runner MPG2127
Today on our 2012 Toyota 4Runner we're going to be test fitting the Malone Hanger 3-bike rack for 1-1/4" and 2" hitches, part number MPG2127. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. At the ends of both of our arms, you do have reflectors for better vision at night. We have two cradles for the bikes, and they are adjustable back and forth and can be tightened down with this screw on the bottom. The tool is included with the bike rack to do so. It grips your bike at two points.
Kuat Beta Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Toyota 4Runner
Today on our 2012 Toyota 4Runner, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Kuat Beta Hanging Style Two-Bike Rack. That's part number B202-2. I've already got it loaded up on the 4Runner just to give you a good idea what it looks like and how it's going to hold our bikes. It actually secures them with three points of contact. We've got two straps for our top tube here, and then we've got one for seatpost tube. The one for our seatpost tube is actually going to be our anti-sway. It's going to help prevent or cut down some of the sway in our bike while we're on the road as well as prevent bike-to-bike contact and bike-to-vehicle contact. The cradles here are made out of a soft rubber, so we don't have to worry about them harming the finish on our bike.
