Roadmaster Anti-Sway Bar Installed

Benefits of an Anti-Sway System

The Roadmaster anti-sway bar does for side-to-side movement what a good pair of shocks does for up-and-down motion. You will notice a marked improvement in your vehicle's stability as the bar works to balance weight transfer and reduce body roll. The anti-sway bar acts as a link between your vehicle's frame and its rear axle, using the axle as a brace to more effectively balance the shifting weight of your vehicle as you maneuver it. Lubricated bushings allow just enough pivot and rotation to compensate for the pressure placed on one side of your vehicle when it goes into sudden maneuvers, hits crosswinds or encounters shifting weights.

Roadmaster Anti-Sway Polyurethane Bushings

Superior Construction

The Roadmaster anti-sway bar is made of black powder-coated 4140 chromoly, a chromium and molybdenum steel alloy. This type of steel is considerably harder and stronger than the standard 1020 steel that is typically used in anti-sway applications. In addition, the larger diameter of the bar increases its torsional roll stiffness. The result is a bar that is not only stronger than the competition, but also nearly 30 percent better at resisting sway. The polyurethane bushings and grommets used at the attachment points are durable yet flexible, ensuring that the system is neither so rigid nor so malleable that it becomes ineffective.

Everything pretty much fit like it should. Seemed to reduce the heavy rocking when You make sudden turns or coming out of a parking lot where the road is at a different level.

What a serious improvement on my motorhome made it so stable. It’s actually unbelievable how nice it drives now easy to install fit perfect. Just amazes me every time I drive it how nice it is to drive. I don’t feel like I’m gonna roll over anymore.

It works great. I can definitely tell a difference.

I love both of the Roadmaster anti-sway bars I had installed right before a trip to Iowa. I purchased bushing kits for front and rear but, I didn't know the front sway bar came with new bushings. So I have an extra front sway bar bushing kit. The biggest difference I noticed right away was the handling on the highway. The people I talked to at etrailer were very helpful and always are when I call. Thanks

Wow, This sway bar is big, heavy, beefy and strong. I saw all the great reviews but was still surprised when I got it. Installation was straight forward but I did have to have a mechanic shop jack the RV up and take the huge bolts of the U-bolts because my impact wrench was not strong enough. I've only put a few mines on it since I installed it but I have already noticed a difference.

Installed on a Tiffin Allegro 31SA by Whited Truck and RV Center in Auburn, Maine. The Roadmaster anti-sway bar and associated parts are rugged and of high quality. Installation time was about 3 hours; drilling the frame to secure brackets took the longest time. This anti-sway bar improved handing and reduced sway, especially on rough secondary roads.

I just received the product, which weighs in at "Over 70 pounds" according to the UPS tape attached, and will be returning it unopened once I receive the Return Authorization slip. Please note that this action had to be taken because of "Operator Headspace"on MY PART !!! I failed to properly read the requirements and limitations in their advertisement. The 1139-143 is for a motorhome with the Ford F-53 for an up to a max of 34 foot motorhomes. Mine is a 37 foot and need the one for 18,000 to 24,000 lb. My mistake and the correct one is on the way thanks to the help from the wonderful service personnel at etrailer.com. Great service for less than smart people like me... Thank you so much etrailer.com!!!

  • Blue Ox Tiger Trak Trac Bars for 2001 National Dolphin Motorhome
For the front Tiger Trak track bar, use # TT2403 for the V10 engine model and # TT2404 for the V8 model. Blue Ox doesn't list a rear trac bar fit for your 2001 F53 chassis, so I'd recommend using a Roadmaster anti-sway bar, part # RM-1139-143 for coaches less than 34 feet long or # 1139-144 for coaches 34 feet or longer. Both a track bar and an anti-sway bar will keep the rear axle rigidly in place so it's perpendicular to the frame.

  • Rear Sway Bar Fit for 2004 Winnebago Sightseer Built on Ford F-53 Chassis
The correct fit for a rear anti-sway bar for your 2004 Winnebago Sightseer built on a Ford F-53 chassis is going to depend on its length, because based on my research there are a number of models with different total lengths. Models 27C, 30B and 33L are less than 34 feet long, and the correct sway bar for that length is the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1139-143. Model 35N is longer than 34 feet, so the correct sway bar is the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar # 1139-144. You will simply...

Your concern about the stability and drivability of your 2001 Fleetwood Bounder motorhome is definitely understandable, as these rigs can be a chore to handle at times even when not towing a dinghy so I definitely recommend adding parts to help reduce the sway and stabilize your motorhome, and changing your shocks certainly won't hurt either. The best way to enhance and stabilize the drive of your 2001 Fleetwood Bounder is to add an aftermarket rear anti-sway bar because they are better...

If they are not, then Roadmaster recommends using the 7/8 inch diameter u-bolts that are longer (most likely the larger diameter due to length needed to ensure strength).
