Navigate Tight Spaces Without Compromise: Compact Square Design

Need a jack that fits tight spaces? The compact square design of the Bulldog Square Jack makes it ideal for those snug spots where larger jacks simply can't go. Its welded construction ensures no burn-through on your trailer, and it offers superior side-load capacity compared to round jacks, maintaining strength when it really counts.

Smooth Operation Every Time: Ergonomic Topwind Handle

Cranking up your trailer doesn't have to be a struggle. Thanks to the smooth, ergonomic topwind handle, adjusting your trailer height is smoother and more effortless. This topwind design reduces the chance of bevel gear issues, offering a straightforward solution for reliable use.

Jacks are strong and it is exactly what I need for my equipment

by:

Needed an emergency fix for a trailer. Etrailer came through with flying colors the product worked perfectly.

by:

I replaced a damaged jack with this one. It fit perfectly and is heavy duty. Works very well.

by:

Have made multiple orders, fast turnaround. Free shipping. Will continue to make purchases.

by:

Received exactly what i ordered. I chose free standard shipping and they upgraded me to 2 day shipping at no additional cost. I recieved my order in only 18 hours of ordering! THANK YOU etrailer! We can now get back to work with our new parts!

by:

I didn't measure the old one bulldog product but was more large the leg when retracted, the new one is little short so just was positioning on the best way and fully disengage and welded and tested and just work fine. Thank you.

IT WORKS GREAT

by:

I wanted something that would be strong and hold up over time. This Jack is used to support my stainless steel 6 hole dog trailer with my side X side loaded on the back. So it’s not light. I tend to do things by overkill but with this bulldog Jack it perfect for the job! Did some fabrication on making the mounting plates and fitting it in just right. A little taping it off and painting to match the trailer. I would highly recommend using this Jack and using Etrailer for all your needs!

by:

It seems odd that it came with no instructions and there are no installation instructions on either the etrailer site or on the BullDog (Cequent) site. I have not had it welded on yet, but figured it will be less risky to weld it with it disassembled so that is what I have done.

I got the top wind unit this time because my last one was a Fulton with a side wind and the bevel gear broke and is no longer available, necessitating its replacement. I figure a top wind has one less thing to go wrong.

Works fine. As I mentioned, I disassembled it before welding it on.

by:

Works great unloaded. With any load it bogs down. A side wind might work better, as the longer radius of the top wind seemingly requires more effort.

Thank you for your review. One of our experts have tested the Bulldog jack requires 5 cranks to move the jack 1 without a load. Please keep in mind this jack is also rated for 7200 lbs lift capacity so be sure to not exceed that weight rating. It may also be easier to use a side wind jack like you mentioned because you are moving the crank up and down instead of side to side.

by:

we use these on all our 14K trailers that come with smaller jacks. the large drop foot makes them super stable, and work well on the sandy soil in our area.

by:

Best trailer jack i ever bought for our trailer smooth operating easy to weld in place.

by:

Great product... It the Bulldog quality we always expect... Awesome..

by:

All the products I have bought through etrailer have been awesome but above that their service is what sells me! Thanks for the great service and products!

by:

Jack works great. Fast shipping.

by:

Only thing I would change on this jack would be to shorten the the handle a bit.

by:

Awesome jack, perfect for my trailer

by:

Strong jack, heavy. Real easy to weld

  • Are Internal Jack Components Interchangeable Amongst Different Brands?
Hey Kip, congrats on the new trailer. Square jacks like the Bulldog Square Jack w/ Footplate item # BD180354 do not have interchangeable parts amongst different brands and you can't upgrade a 7,000 lbs jack to give it a 10,000 lbs capacity. If you could find a part number on it or any identifying information I can see if we have any rebuild kits for it. To add a 10,000 lbs jack, you can use the Buyers Products Square Jack item # 3370091415H. This jack includes a handle and will need...

  • How Does Grease Get Applied to the Bulldog Jack BD180354
Hey Cheryl, there isn't an easy way to grease the internals of the Bulldog Square Jack w/ Footplate # BD180354 so you would want to get a white lithium spray lubricant and spray it up the leg assembly onto the thread and screw assembly. You will need to remove the foot plate to access this.

  • Threads on Bulldog Square Jack # BD180354 are Stripped Out
If the inside of the handle stripped out then the replacement part is # BD500344. Otherwise if it's the stud on the jack then you will need to purchase a new jack with part # BD180354. My contact at Bulldog confirmed this.

The picture of the jack that you sent in would be basically the exact same thing as the Bulldog Square Jack # BD180354 that you referenced. If you are looking to replace your jack this would be a perfect replacement. I attached a review video for you to check out as well.

  • Can a 10K Bulldog Drop Leg Trailer Jack be Trimmed to be Shorter
The issue is that there is a screw inside the jack that turns in either direct to raise or lower the jack. It threads through a fixed nut. At the very top of the screw the threads are all mashed up so that the leg can't just fall out. Basically there isn't a way to take the legs out without having to cut open the jack and then it is pretty much useless because it will have lost its capacity. Could you go with a 7,200 pound jack? Drop leg jack # BD180354 is rated for 7,200 pounds at will...

  • Welding Instructions for Bulldog Square Jack BD180354
Direct weld-on installing Bulldog Square Jack # BD180354 requires two 1-inch-long 3/16 fillet welds on each side of the outer tube. The instructions do not limit what part of the outer tube can be welded. If you choose to use a pivot tube the non-beveled side of the pivot tube is welded to the tongue using a 3/16 fillet weld all around the tube. The written instructions are linked for you and these detail the various installation options as well as recommended maintenance.

The square outer tubing on the Bulldog Square Jack # BD180354 measures 3-inches on a side. It is heavy enough material that it can be welded directly onto the trailer frame with no burn through. The outer tube is made of 1/8-inch thick steel. I went to our warehouse to measure it for you to be sure. Each jack has a lifting capacity of 7200-lbs. This means that for your application of stabilizing a trailer during the loading of heavy equipment these will work fine. Since you are not asking...
