Are Internal Jack Components Interchangeable Amongst Different Brands?

Hi I bought a 6x10 landscape trailer recently, and the tongue Jack doesnt work. Its 2 squires Jack welder to the tongue. Not sure of manufacturer but says its a 7k. Two questions are the internal parts interchangeable brand to brand and...... can I upgrade internals to a 10k jack? Thanks

Hey Kip, congrats on the new trailer. Square jacks like the Bulldog Square Jack w/ Footplate item # BD180354 do not have interchangeable parts amongst different brands and you can't upgrade a 7,000 lbs jack to give it a 10,000 lbs capacity.
If you could find a part number on it or any identifying information I can see if we have any rebuild kits for it.
To add a 10,000 lbs jack, you can use the Buyers Products Square Jack item # 3370091415H. This jack includes a handle and will need to be welded on.
What brand of trailer did you buy? I may be able to identify the jack that way.

Hi Jared no identifying marks as far as I can see. I'll have to take another look for possibly a stamped number
