Expert Reply:
The square outer tubing on the Bulldog Square Jack # BD180354 measures 3-inches on a side. It is heavy enough material that it can be welded directly onto the trailer frame with no burn through. The outer tube is made of 1/8-inch thick steel. I went to our warehouse to measure it for you to be sure.
Each jack has a lifting capacity of 7200-lbs. This means that for your application of stabilizing a trailer during the loading of heavy equipment these will work fine. Since you are not asking them to lift the dozer's entire weight, just to stabilize the trailer during loading and unloading, these will work great.
