Question:
I found your how to and followed it. Installed just fine. I connected the white wire from the harness to a bold that holds some of the metal framing near the parking brake. I am enclosing a picture with where I connected the white wire to the truck. My problem is I have no power to the brake controller. I do not have a trailer connected, but the instructions say that should not make a difference. There is still no power. I disconnected and reconnected the harness and still no power. Am I missing something? Any ideas?

You will want to unplug the # 3040-P harness from the connector on your 2014 Lexus GX 460 first.
Then use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 and test the pin that is located at the upper right when looking at the connector like the attached drawing shows. There is a red arrow that indicates which pin to check for power. If you have power at that pin you may need to find a better location for the ground to be connected.
If you do not have current at the pin, you can check your owner's manual for the fuse box legend and find the fuse location for the brake controller. it may be marked with towing package or brake controller or something similar. You will want to make sure a fuse is installed.
I have attached a couple of helpful articles about brake controller installation you can take a look at.
