How Long do Fifth Wheel Lube Plates Last

Question:
Recommendations for a lube plate for a 2012 Open Range Roamer 5th wheel. How long will it last with around 2000 miles a year traveling on major roads.

I talked with my contact at Cequent and he stated that the life of a plastic lube plate can vary depending on several factors.
Pin weight, the smoothness of the components touching the plate, and where you are towing (dirt, gravel, highway) are all factors that can affect the life of the plastic lube plate.
He stated that some users can go through one a month and others can have their plates last a season. I would say that with average use you can expect a plastic lube plate to last about a season (about 8 months).
