Question:
My 5th. wheel is only 13,000 # . I put the Lippert 1621 on can I run a little less air pressure rather than inflating it to the max. And if so are their air pressure settings that I can use with an air gauge. Ive already purchased it from you and the assembly only took about an hour. I gained more height over the sides of my pickup box which is what I was after, now Im after ride. I have a 40foot toy hauler with a GVW of 13,000# Also I have Dexter Axles with springs. What can I put on the axles to help them ride better, that wont be real expensive. Im towing with a 2014 Chevy Durimax 4.5 2500 4 door 4 wheel drive pickup. Im in the process of adding air bags to the rear of the pickup between the leafsprings and frame. The trailer is a 2005 Desert Fox Toy Hauler Tri-Axle. Thanks

According to Ultra Fab there are many factors that can effect air pressure such as the size of the air spring in diameter and height, the pin weight of the trailer, the mechanics of each individual hitch, altitude and air temperature. Ultra Fab has stated that usable air pressures can range from 20 to 120 psi. Therefore a specific air pressure is not recommended. Instead it is recommended to inflate the air bag to maintain a ride height.
To determine the ride height Ultra Fab has indicated on the lower body of the shock absorber, as shown on the included photo, reference points that should line up with the yellow sticker and arrows. Please note that in order to check this alignment the truck and trailer need to be hooked up, and parked on level ground. When they are hooked up, and the hitch is under load, there should be enough air in the bag to open the jaw to a point that the bottom lip of the top shroud on the shock absorber is even with the arrow on the yellow sticker.
I have included a photo showing the ride height recommended alignment location.
The only suspension enhancement we offer that would work on your trailer would be the part # TTRA5602. I attached a picture of how it would install for you to check out. There are no air bag systems available for trailer suspension available.
