What's great about a remote cooler with a fan like the Derale Atomic-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler Kit # D13950 that you referenced is that it can basically install wherever it will fit since the fan will provide all of the necessary airflow to cool the fluid.
Here is what Derale says about mounting location for this cooler:
The purpose of a remote mount cooler is to be able to mount the cooler away from the front of the vehicle therefore not blocking airflow to the radiator/condenser. This cooler can be mounted anywhere space permits. Always keep in mind that the cooler still needs access to airflow to perform at its peak.
