The Derale Hyper-Cool Remote Engine Cooler Kit w/ Fan # D15660 for oil cooling can be mounted anywhere you have the space in your Jeep Cherokee XJ. The unit will be 13 x 10 x 5-5/8 inches total, so you simply need that space. The remote location with fan will allow mounting in any location with that space allotment as opposed to in front of or behind the radiator if a fan were not present.

If you want a transmission cooler, I recommend the Derale Hyper-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler Kit w/ Fan # D13960 which has the same dimensions.

If you want the combination cooler, I recommend the Derale Electra-Cool Combo Engine and Transmission Cooler Assembly w/ Fan # D15200. You will also need the Derale Remote Engine Oil Cooler Installation Kit w/Thermostat Fan Control # D15752 for this application. This will require 15-3/4 x 11-1/2 x 5 inches for mounting.
