Question:
I have a 1989 cycle mate tow behind motorcycle trailer. Its rated for 800#s on split torsion setup 400#s per and I want to replace it with a 1 piece axle. The problem is everybody I talk to the lightest axle they can make or have is 2000#s. Anybody know where I can get a 1 piece axle for comparable price to me replacing the both split torsion axles

The best solution I can recommend for you would be a Timbren Axleless system like part # ASR1200S02 as this will work similarly to what you have and has a 1,200 lb capacity. The lightest capacity straight axle we have is 2,000 lbs so I would not recommend it for you.
I attached a page that has all of the Timbren systems we offer in the 1,200 lb capacity range in case you need a drop spindle or want a setup with hub already included.
