Hello again Bob,

I'm sorry, but while we carry plug-and-play wiring harnesses for trailer wiring, we do not currently carry the Curt plug-and-play harness for flat towing your 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit. We've found that the plug-and-play options can sometimes have issues, which is why I prefer the Roadmaster diode kits. Once properly installed, they're a reliable, long-term solution.

For your Grand Cherokee, the correct wiring kit will depend on whether you have ParkSense.

If you have ParkSense, you will want the Roadmaster Smart Diode Kit for Variable Voltage LED Tail Lights # RM63MR, or # RM47ZR if you don't need the adapter cord.

If you do not have ParkSense, you will want the Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit # RM-15267, or # RM-152 if you don't need the adapter cord.

I attached an image showing how the diodes install. I understand this can make the installation a bit more challenging, so I also included our Dealer Locator if you decide you'd rather have someone do the installation. I attached an installation video as well, so you can see exactly what you're getting yourself into.

With either option, you will also need the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25 to help maintain your Jeep's battery while flat towing.

I also see that you will need the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM77RR so your supplemental braking system can properly monitor when the brakes are being applied.

I know you've been doing this for a lot of years, 25 if I remember correctly. Have you always used plug-and-play wiring in the past?

Never have used Curt's product, but it seems to be a cleaner way of wiring without the diodes, which can present issues too. How does the Curt kit get by without diodes and what are the failures due to?

@BobJ That's a good question, and Curt actually does use diodes in their plug-and-play harness. They're just built into the wiring rather than being installed separately like the Roadmaster kit. They serve the same purpose of preventing electrical feedback from the motorhome into your Jeep's wiring. As far as failures go, issues can come from poor connections, corrosion, damaged wiring, or a failed diode. That's not exclusive to Curt, either. My preference for Roadmaster comes from being able to access and replace individual diodes if something does go wrong, rather than having to troubleshoot or replace part of an integrated harness. I can definitely see the appeal of the Curt kit, especially when it comes to installation. We just prefer the Roadmaster setup for long-term serviceability.

Hi, I have this setup on my 2023 Jeep Wrangler. It is super easy to install, it does take a little time as you need to thread or run wires front the front to the rear of the vehicle, but nothing terrible. There is a little wire splicing, mostly at the rear under the taillights to splice in the new wire harness to the tail.loght wires...again nothing major, just watch the videos from eTrailer, super easy. The connections in the photo at the rear of the taillight are very well made, and labeled for what goes where (again reference a video of installation). A tip I used; clear silicon on the connectors after I plugged them into the LED Smart Diode as to seal it from dirt and coming off. Hope this helps.
