Question:

I have a 2016 Forest River Wildcat 5th wheel i am wanting to upgrade to the Morryde step above or a Lippert solid step was wondering what would be the best step and size to buy.

Hey Brandi! Between the two, I recommend the MORryde StepAbove RV Steps. They're a great upgrade over traditional folding steps, and provide a much more stable platform when you're getting in and out of your 5th wheel.

Based on what I've seen of the 2016 Wildcat, I would expect you to need a 3-step model. However, I'll need a couple of measurements to recommend the correct one. You'll need to measure the width of your doorway from inside flange to inside flange, along with the entry height from the ground to the threshold with your trailer level.

For example, if your doorway measures 23-3/4"–26-1/4" and your entry height is 30"–33-1/2" you can use the MORryde StepAbove RV Steps # MR98RR. I went ahead and attached a fitment chart with measurements and part numbers below for your reference. If you still aren't sure, drop your measurements in the comments and I'll help you find the right part.

Any big trips coming up this fall once you upgrade your steps?

In order to get correct steps is to know your door opening width and distance from ground to floor surface of camper, after carefully checking witch size I needed, ordered, installed this spring, we are very pleased with our steps.
