How Much Weight Can TorkLift PowerArmor Locking Battery Box Hold On Top

How much weight can this battery box safely handle if you wanted to stack additional items/storage on top of it?

Hey Billy! I reached out to TorkLift and they said the PowerArmor Locking Battery Box # TLA7700L is strong enough to take weight on top. However, they haven't officially tested it to give it any kind of a rating, so there is no known capacity.

What do you plan on sitting on top of the battery box?

Thanks, Robin. I was initially only considering strapping down a portable grey water tank like a Rhino 15 gallon tank. We don't have anywhere else to store this on our pop up trailer and I feel like this should be fine, but just wanted to double check.

@Billy yeah sorry, I thought they might actually have that information since it wouldn't be uncommon for someone to throw something on top. Since they haven't tested it, all you can really do is use your best judgement.

This thing is pretty heavy duty. I installed it on the triangular frame on my pop-up and I routinely step on it to climb onto the roof of the pop-up where I put my bikes on a bike rack. I weigh 195 pounds and I've never felt insecure stepping on it. I couldn't say exactly how much weight it can hold, but it is pretty beefy.
