Today we're going to review part number DZDB-2600. This is the DeeZee Specialty Series Underbody Toolbox. This is a steel construction and it is black in color. This underbody box is ideal for storage under your flatbed truck, your dump truck of the trailer body. It is a corrosion proof 12-gauge steel construction. As you can see, it has a rectangular underbody style, have the single drop down door.
As you can see, it has a stainless steel locking key handle which will help prevent theft. You just open it up and turn it. The door will drop down. It has cables, steel cables on each side that will prevent the door from completely going all the way down. The front has a lock on it so if you turn the key handle, push it close.
If you just turn the key half a turn that would lock it. The handle will still open but it wont turn either way, so it is locked into position. It comes with the two keys. Now, to mount this, this is a very simple installation. You can mount this to your truck or your trailer using the DeeZee Universal Mounting Kit.
We do sell that separately. Its part number DZDB-2502 and that is actually required to install this properly. Basically that kit is two L-shaped brackets that would mount on each side and then be able to bolt up under the vehicle youre putting it on. This does have a black powder coat finish. Lets unlock it.
The interior capacity that this is holding here is 4.5 cu ft. It does have a three-year limited warranty and another nice feature, it has a very nice rubber feel that runs around the whole area here so that when he actually closes the door it will push up against that seal to prevent any type of dirt or grime from getting into the things youll be carrying on the inside here. Again, to lock it, just half a turn on the key, pull the key out. Handle opens but it wont open up. Its all locked up. I do want to give you a few dimensions on this. The overall length on this is 24 inches. The width on it is 18 inches. The overall height is 18 inches also. Product is of good quality for the price. I appreciate the multi point latch system that more expensive boxes did not all have.
