i have a 2026 Subaru Outback Wilderness. I had the dealership install the trailerhitch and 4/7 way connector. Is RED52VR the proper brake controller to tow a 2200lb aliner? Is there a connector in the subaru that I simply plug the Redarc into or do I have to find and run wires?

Hey Richard, yes the Redarc Tow Pro Liberty brake controller part # RED52VR is the correct brake controller kit for your 2026 Subaru Outback. Your vehicle doesn't have a brake controller install port under the dash so you would need to hardwire it to your vehicle which for that we have the brake controller install kit part # 5505 which comes with the needed wiring to complete the install. Have you installed a brake controller before?

I have, but it was in a 2025 Bronco that had an install port under the dash. Do you have a video that shows an install with the hard wiring?
