Hi Mike,
If you're looking for a brake controller to work with your 2021 Mercedes-Benz 2500 Sprinter with factory tow package, I recommend using the Curt TriFlex NEXT Trailer Brake Controller part # C29GJ. It's a proportional brake controller, so it applies the brakes to the trailer at the same time and pressure that the brakes are being applied to the tow vehicle. It works with trailers that have up to four axles and works with electric brakes only. It has a custom wiring harness that will plug into your factory wiring so you can install it without needing to do any drilling.
If you plan on towing multiple trailers or your trailer has an electric over hydraulic brake set up, you'll need to use a brake controller that works with both electric and electric over hydraulic braking systems like the Curt Discovery NEXT Trailer Brake Controller part # C89GJ. It also has the custom plug-in harness and works with trailers that have up to four axles. The difference lies in how it brakes; this is a time delayed brake controller so you can manually adjust how much delay you want between when you hit the brakes on the vehicle and when the brakes engage on the trailer.
What do you tow with your Mercedes Sprinter?

The Curt TriFlex NEXT Trailer Brake Controller w/ Custom Harness will work great for your Sprinter. There is a green plug under the driver’s seat to plug the harness into and this routes under the floor up to the dash. Very straightforward installation. Use a zip tie to feed through narrow opening under the seat to gently get through narrow opening. Disengage negative battery if you need to unplug seat or you will have to have Dealer reset your airbag alert on dash.
