Tire Chains for 265/70R17 Tires on Mercedes-Benz Sprinter

Question:

I have a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 AWD camper van with a GVWR around 9,050 pounds, running 265/70R17 Load Range E tires. does the König XG-12 Pro 267 work? I have researched other Konig products Summit XXL and the weight is too much.

Hey Kevin,

Yes, the Konig Tire Chains # TH01594267 will work with your Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500's 265/70/R17 tires. You will, however, need to confirm that you have enough space for the tire chains in your wheel well and between the fender. We recommend at least 1-1/2" of clearance around the treads (A) and 5/8" between the sidewall and the vehicle (B), as illustrated in the photo below.

The # TH01594267 have a diamond link pattern, self-tensioners, and they're made of a manganese-nickel alloy which make them a top-of-the-line option for you to use your Sprinter in both snowy and icy conditions. The icing on the cake, in my opinion, is that they include a hard-case for easy storage when you're not using the chains. The hard-case is better than the bag that other tire chains include because it's able to be stored upright library-book-style instead of the melted look that soft cases provide.
