Hey Conrad, thanks for reaching out. I do have a solution for you, but unfortunately, we do not carry an electric brake controller for a truck with air brakes. We used to carry one from Hayes, but it was discontinued a few years ago.
If you need to control electric brakes with your Kenworth truck, but best way to do that is to install a separate RV 7-way plug, then use a standard in-cab brake controller. Here are the parts I recommend for that.
- Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236
- Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires # ETBC7
- Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller w/ Universal Wiring Harness - Dash Knob - Proportional # RED52VR
That will be everything you need to add a standard 4-flat, RV 7-way and brake controller in your Kenworth. The # ETBC7 kit contains all of the necessary wires for hooking up the brake controller.
What kind of trailer will you be towing with the Kenworth?
