Recommended 2" Spacer for a Firestone Air Bag Kit on a Lifted Truck

Updated 09/12/2026 | Published 09/07/2026

Question:

I am trying to install the Firestone air bag kit 2703 for my 2015 f250. I have a 4” lift on my truck. I order the spacers as well. The problem I am having is that I have about 1.5 inch gap between the bottom bracket and my axle. Also it seems that to u bolts the hold it to the lift block is to small.

Thanks for the picture Austin. To install the Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs item # F2703 on a truck with a 4" lift you'll need the 2" Lift Spacers for Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs item # F2366.

The picture you sent doesn't show the spacers like item # F2366 installed which is why you have a 1-1/2" gap and your U-bolts aren't connecting to the axle. If you look at the picture I attached below you'll see that the Firestone Spacers item # F2366 attach beneath the airbags to the top of the brackets included with item # F2703 that attaches to the axle with U-bolts.

You may need 3" Spacers item # F2367 depending on how big of a gap you have with the air bags straight. The upper brackets look a bit crooked but it may be the angle of your picture.

The Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs item # F2703 is the correct kit for a 2015 Ford F-250 so once you get the spacers installed the U-Bolts will have no issues being long enough to connect to the rear axle.

Once you got the spacers attached to the brackets and your air bags installed, I also recommend adding the Firestone Air Command Heavy Duty Air Compressor item # F56VV to your truck. This onboard compressor will allow you to adjust the PSI in your air bags from your phone.

Please note that since you're installing the Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs item # F2703 you will need a higher rated compressor. The standard duty ones do not provide enough PSI.

What do you tow or haul with your F-250 that has you adding air bags to your F-250's suspension? Feel free to answer this and throw in any other questions you have, where it says Add Comment.
