Does this replacement hitch fit Thule Motion 3 XL? If not, which part is the correct one?

Hi Nate,

Based off a parts diagram from Thule, the Thule Replacement Lid Lifter Hinge for Thule Force XT XL and XXL Rooftop Cargo Boxes Part # TH93VA is Thule part number 1500014956. Thule shows that the 1500014956 is the correct part for the front hinge/lifter on the Motion 3 XL.

The rear hinge/lifter is Thule part number 1500054110 which sadly we don't carry. But Thule does have it available on their site and I've included the link to it for you.

What do you usually carry in your Motion 3 XL cargo box?

I read the following comment: Thule shows that the 1500014956 is the correct part for the front hinge/lifter on the Motion 3 XL. The rear hinge/lifter is Thule part number 1500054110 which sadly we don't carry. But Thule does have it available on their site. I have a Thule Motion XT XXL SERIAL NUMBER DATE: 11/19/21 INTLS LS S2 PART#635801 TRACEABLITY LABEL DATE:11-19-21 CP. AM S1 PART# 854838400 Is your item # TH93VA the right one? Also can I use it for both front and back hinges? Can you included the link to Thule you mentioned in the comment? Kurt S

@KurtS The part number 635801 comes back to a Thule Force XT XL cargo box in matte black. I've linked the Thule page for it to this answer. It has a chart of the parts breakdown as well as pdf for instructions when you go to replace the hinge. The parts chart shows that there is only one option for the lid lifter, which means it's the same lifter at the front and rear, part # 1500014956. Which is our part # TH93VA. The diagram of the cargo box doesn't line up with the numbers on the parts chart for some reason, but they do use that diagram for all of the cargo boxes, so I think it's just an error.
