Question:

I have a Thule Force XT XXL. Last night, the REAR lid lifter broke. It looks, based on the Thule web site, that this isnt a replaceable part and the $1,000 cargo carrier I have needs to be replaced. My hope is that Item TH14936 would work. Am I out of luck?

I spoke with Thule and they stated that the correct replacement lid lifter hinge for your Thule Force XT XXL cargo box would be part # TH93VA.

Do you know if the front and back lid lifter are the same? According to the spare parts diagram they have different item numbers called out, but only list the front one as replaceable. Do you know if TH93VA will work for front and back? Thank you! Brian

@Brian Thule redesigned the lid lifter for this cargo box so it now is just the # TH93VA for both the front and rear lid lifters.

@KevinC Thank you for the reply. I bought a damaged Force XT-Xxl. The locks are in the locked position. The top and bottom halves are separated. Is there a way to get a replacement key without knowing the key number?

@Brian You would need to go to a shop that has every key code to test and figure out what fits. The easier solution here would be to just drill out the lock core from the lock mechanism and just replace it # TH23DD.
