Welcome back Lou and congrats on the new truck and motorhome! To flat tow your 2026 GMC 2500 AT4-X with a diesel engine you will need the following parts:

Tow Bar and Safety Cables - 12,000 lbs Ultra-Fab Non-Binding Tow Bar for Roadmaster Base Plates item # UF45XR

Base Plate Kit - Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms item # RM33GR - will not work with the AEV Edition bumper

Battery Disconnect - Roadmaster Battery Disconnect Switch item # RM93MR for diesel engines

Wiring Harness - Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit item # RM-15267 and two extra Roadmaster Hy-Power Diodes item # RM-792

Supplemental Braking System - Demco Air Force One Flat Tow Brake System for 2021 and Newer Freightliner Chassis RVs w/ BrakeSync item # DM23MV

Your 2026 Forest River RV Berkshire XLT 45G is built on a Freightliner XCR Raised Rail Chassis. It comes with the Brake sync flat tow prep which means you can plug the Demco Air Force One Flat Tow Brake System item # DM23MV directly into it. You won't have to modify anything on your new motorhome. All of the components install on your Sierra. The kit includes a jumper cable designed to plug into the airline quick connect by your motorhome's hitch.

Additionally, the Roadmaster Nighthawk All-Terrain Tow Bar item # RM-676 you purchased back in 2022 is only rated for 8,000 lbs. The curb weight of your new Sierra 2500 diesel is already 8,474 lbs. It's got a gross weight of 11,350 lbs, which is why I recommended a new tow bar as well.
