Question:
I own a 2nd hand 2019 Carry-On Trailer model 6X12GWHS2BRK, dual Dexter axles with a 7000 pound capacity. While replacing the tires, it looks like I also need to replace the brake shoes.

Welcome back Daniel!
To replace the brakes on 7K Dexter axles, we have a few options available. If I were doing this, I would go with the etrailer Electric Trailer Brakes - Self-Adjusting - 12" - Left/Right Hand - 5.2K to 7K # AKEBRK-7-SA. This covers both sides of one axle (since you have two axles, you will need to order a quantity of two), and the self-adjusting feature makes them very easy to live with. No crawling under your trailer to adjust them every now and then. They are made overseas, but the price is pretty hard to beat and we have had very good reviews for longevity and quality.
However, if you wanted to stick with American made Dexter brakes, we do also have the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brakes - 12" - Left/Right Hand Assemblies - 7K # 23-464-465. Just like the etrailer option I mentioned above, this will cover both sides of one axle per order and are self adjusting. They are quite a bit more expensive, but again, they are American made.
Oh and if I misinterpreted the axle capacity, we do have the etrailer Self-Adjusting Electric Trailer Brakes # AKEBRK-35-SA and Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brakes # 23-468-469 that are for 3,500 pound axles. Everything I mentioned about the brakes listed above hold for these as well, they are just smaller for a 3.5K axle.
Are you replacing parts after a busy summer season, or are you gearing up for another trip?

Install was a breeze ! Also added new hubs assy. as well. Took 4 horse LQ trailer to Colorado and traversed several mountain passes without issue. Trailer was around 13k GVW .. Everything I order from Etrailer is exactly as described. Tech support is amazing.. Long time customer , to date no reason to use anyone else ..
