Does Wiring In Redarc Tow Pro Liberty in Place of Curt Discovery Require Color for Color Splices

Question:

Good morning, I am looking at replacing my Curt Discovery time-delay brake controller for the Redarc Liberty proportional brake controller. My truck did not come with a factory tow package so the current Curt controller was spliced in under the dash and a 7-way plug wired in the rear. My question is, is there any additional wiring required for the Redarc Liberty? All I would need to do is splice in the matching colors red, black, white, blue from the old brake controller to the new Redarc Liberty? Thank you!

Hey Grayson, welcome back! You are correct you would just need to splice the colors of the Redarc Tow Pro Liberty part # RED52VR color for color to the wiring you have now from the Discovery to your vehicle. That would be the only wiring needed to install this controller. How did you like the Discovery?
