Will The Dometic CT Thermostat and Control Board DMC83ZR Run A Suburban Furnace As Well As The AC?

Question:

I have a Dometic FreshJet 3 15K BTU Air Conditioner with the mechanical ADB. The thermostat has never worked right to maintain the temperature. I saw this Dometic 3316230.700 DMC83ZR thermostat on your website and I would like to know if this thermostat and control module can replace the manual thermostat and fan control. In addition, I have a separate digital wall mount thermostat for the Suburban furnace, can the furnace also be controlled with this kit. I understand I will need to make some wiring changes especially for the furnace. Thank you for your help and reply. I have the wiring diagrams and would have no problem making wiring changes for the furnace if this kit can also control the furnace. Both the A/C and furnace are 2 years old. Hi Bill!

The Dometic CT Thermostat and Control Board - Single Zone - White # DMC83ZR thermostat and control module can indeed replace the manual thermostat/fan control on your FreshJet 3, and it can also be set up to control your Suburban furnace. You’re correct that the furnace wiring will need to be modified to integrate it into the system.

Since both your A/C and furnace are only about two years old, this should be a nice upgrade to get everything working from one thermostat.
