Question:

i had the trailer hitch installed yesterday . my bike rack yakima used the 1.25 reducer to properly install it. however it still has some jiggle movement both vertical and horizontally. do you have a stabilizer for this ? part ?

Hi Jack!

A little movement is normal, especially since you’re using a 1 1/4 inch Yakima rack with an adapter in a 2 inch receiver like part # e98839 for the 2018 Subaru Forester. That extra connection can introduce a little play. Before I recommend adding a separate stabilizer, though, I’d want to know exactly which Yakima rack you have. A lot of Yakima racks use their SpeedKnob or another built in anti rattle system specifically to tighten the rack inside the receiver, so there may be an adjustment we can make first rather than adding another part.
