Hey Gary, this is a great question but the difference between the two Roadmaster spare carriers is the weight capacity and wheel size that each was intended for.
The part # RM-195225 is intended for heavier spares like what are found on larger RVs/motorhomes whereas the part # RM-195125 is more for truck SUV sized wheels which are smaller and lighter. What is your tow vehicle? I can help you pick out which is better option.
