I have a Reese titan 66006 and need a replacement down hitch 58976 I know it’s discontinued do you have a replacement

Hi Mark!

We can definitely get you a shank for your Reese Titan 66006 weight distribution system! You didn't mention if you have a 2" or 2-1/2" hitch, so I figured it would be a good idea to have an option for both. You can find these below:

Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank - 2-1/2" Hitch - 8" Long - 10" Rise/6" Drop # EQ90-02-4900
Curt Weight Distribution Shank - 2" Hitch - 10" Long - 9-1/4" Rise/5-3/4" Drop # 17120

Both of these are pretty similar to each other, but there are a few differences as well. The Equal-i-zer for the 2-1/2" hitch is rated up to 16K towing and 1,600 pounds of tongue weight capacity. The Curt for the 2" hitch is rated up to 15K towing and 1,500 pounds of tongue weight capacity. The weight distribution system you have is rated to 17K towing and 1,700 pounds of tongue weight capacity, so it is definitely something to be aware of with the one you go with (if you are using the full weight capacities of the system, let me know and I will see if we have a better shank for you).

On that note, what are you towing?

Thanks for the reply, the 58976 2.5” I was looking at had an 11” spacing from hitch pin to head bolts. Do you have something that longer than the 2 you listed? Thanks

@MarkO The longest options we have for 2-1/2" hitches would be the ones I have listed below: Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank - 8" Rise, 4" Drop # FA88FR Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank - 10" Rise, 6" Drop # FA28FR Both measure 12" from the center of the pin hole to the center of the adjustment holes. Each is rated to 16K towing and 1,600 pounds of tongue weight with the only differences between them being the rise and drop.
