Hey Valerie, the Replacement Flush Ball Seal part # DOM63FR that you referenced is a Dometic brand part and not simply a part that is known to work with Dometic toilets made by someone else. Which toilet do you have?

Correct replacement part and worked well. Installation hint: install in proper orientation per instructions with flush ball closed. Push the seal ring carefully down in to place and ensure placement after with ball open. Also make sure to lube per instructions. Good luck.

Installing the new seal is a bit tedious. You have to hold the pedal down while removing and replacing the seal. There is a specific groove that you need to align with, which can be a little difficult. Just be patient and eventually it will go into place. I recommend coating the underside with petroleum jelly, as it helps with the sealing action. Also don’t forget, before you add water, to preheat the seal with warm water for a designated time period. When you see that the heated water is still there, then you know the job is done. On the more human side, you might find yourself saying new phrases of the English language. Just saying…

The seal fit perfect and the toilet now holds water a year in. Remember to keep the underside of the seal clean and lub it periodically with Vaseline or plumbers jelly.
