Hello: My single pwc trailer axle broke and looking for a new replacement with hubs and also leaf springs and hardware. Hoping you can help me: Hub face: 57 Spring center: 46.5 End to end spindle roughly: 63 Tires: 4.80-12 with 5 bolt 4.5 Spring leaf distance: 23.5 Not sure if able to go with a 60” 2k lb axle? Hi John,
I wouldn't go with a 60" axle because it will move your tires further out away from the trailer and would require different length leaf springs as well.
Based off your measurements, the CE Smith Trailer Axle w/Idler Hubs part # CE33201GA-HUB would be the perfect solution for you. It has a 57 1/2" hub face measurement and comes with 5 on 4 1/2 galvanized idler hubs with all the bearings and seals you'll need to install it. The spring seat measurement is 46 1/2" which is exactly what your current axle measurement is. It's likely that your current axle is 57 1/2" since that is a more standard length for these dimensions, even if it is a bit shorter, it would only extend 1/4" further out on each side which is minimal. The axle is galvanized to protect against corrosion and has a 1,800lbs weight capacity, which is more than enough for a PWC trailer. This kit even comes with high-performance marine grease so you'll have everything you need to get your axle and hubs replaced.
For leaf springs, I recommend using the Universal Group 3-Leaf Double Eye Spring for 2K trailer axles part # SP-113275. It is 23 1/2" long when measured from spring center-eye to center-eye unloaded. It's rated for 1,000lbs and has 9/16" nylon bushings already installed.

I ordered this axle, CE33201GA. Should i drill a drainage hole on the middle center as this will be for a seadoo trailer? If so what size hole?
