Today we're going to be taking a look at a Polar Hardware T-Strap Hinge for side and rear trailer doors. This strap hinge lets your side or rear trailer door swing open 180 degrees, no kinking or binding. It's got nice, seamless motion to it. It's going to feature a non-removable pin, it's going to provide great security, it's going to give us a diameter of about 1/2". It's a nice heavy duty design as well, stainless steel construction, it's going to provide durability, it's going to be highly resistant to rust and corrosion. It's going to have a nice, polished finish which gives it a sleek look, really nice appearance. A few measurements to go over with you real quick, starting with the overall length, so from the back of the hinge to the end of the strap, that's going to give a measurement of about 9-5/8".
The hinge is going to give us an overall length measurement of 4-1/2". Measurement of the back of the hinge to the center of the pin, that's going to give us a measurement of about 1-5/8", and then those mount holes are separated apart from one another on center by 3-1/4". The strap, that's going to give us a length measurement of about 8" long. Width measurement of about 2" wide. Then you'll notice that it has three holes right there on that strap, so center on center, those holes are separated apart from one another by 2-7/16".
The diameter of these holes right here, that's going to be able to accept 5/16" diameter hardware. These holes will accept 3/8" diameter hardware. That's going to do it for today's look at the T-Strap Hinge for side and rear trailer doors from Polar Hardware.
