Question:
I have a silver shadow tear camper. I need to locate the year. It’s around 2015. I bought it used during the covid pandemic. Is this kit what you use when you need to repack your bearings to make it easier to do of you don’t own a grease gun?

Hey Michael, the hub you referenced part # AKIHUB-545-2-LFEZ-2K is an EZ grease hub which means it has a rubber plug on the grease cap that is easily removable to access the grease fitting on the spindle where you would then use a grease gun to put grease into the hub. If you want to avoid using a grease gun you can just pack the bearings and hub with grease by hand and it will work just fine. This is actually the preferred way in my opinion as with grease guns it's pretty easy to overfill the hub. Worth mentioning is that this hub comes pre-greased and ready to install.
That said we have grease guns like with the part # L30132 and they are easier to use than you'd think. I have this grease gun and it's not difficult at all.
