Question:
Hi guys, I'm looking at one of the Curt Alumalite adjustable ball mounts for my 2-1/2" receiver. Can I use the etrailer anti-rattle collar with it to keep the ball mount from moving around in the receiver?

Hey Travis! Yes, the etrailer Anti-Rattle Hitch Collar for 2-1/2" Receivers # e55YV can be used with the Curt Alumalite ball mounts. The collar works at the connection between the 2-1/2" shank and your hitch receiver to take out that movement for a nice solid setup. You can choose from the following based on drop:
-Curt Alumalite Aluminum Adjustable 2-Ball Mount - 6" Drop # C34FR75HY
-Curt Alumalite Aluminum Adjustable 2-Ball Mount - 8" Drop # C34FR65HY
-Curt Alumalite Aluminum Adjustable 2-Ball Mount - 10" Drop # C34FR23HY
I'd measure for your required drop before ordering so you don't end up with more ball mount hanging below the truck than you need. You don't want to lose clearance if it isn't necessary either.
What kind of truck do you have and what are you typically towing?
