Question:

I tried calling and really couldn’t get an answer for a product. I have a Toyota Corolla cross hybrid awd SE 2024. Wondering if your EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2 would work on it and if I could get installation instructions before hand to see if I’m capable to install. Don’t want to remove the bumper because of sensors.

Hey Dwayne, welcome back! The EcoHitch Hidden Hitch item # EH87CR does indeed fit your 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid SE and you do not have to remove the bumper. EcoHitch doesn't post their installation instructions online so I can't get you those.

There's an installation video for the EcoHitch item # EH87CR on their website or YouTube that shows the entire process. The bumper doesn't get removed and you don't have to drop the exhaust. The only real difficulty is going to be fishing the bolts through the frame. You will have to trim a 2-3/4” deep by 4-1/2” wide portion off of the bottom of your Corolla's bumper trim. This allows the 2" receiver to stick through and there's no sensors or wiring in the way.

The EcoHitch item # EH87CR is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 3,000 lbs towing capacity and a maximum tongue weight of 450 lbs. This hitch will work great for towing a small trailer or hauling an accessory like a bike rack.

@DwayneB Right on! The 2" receiver on the EcoHitch item # EH87CR is going to give you the widest and best options for bike racks and cargo carriers that's for sure. If you would like recommendations for a bike rack, I would just need to know what bikes you have. If you have any additional questions, don't hesitate to reach out.
