Replacement Tire Recommendation for 2006 Fleetwood Sea Pine with Tire Size ST175/80D13

Updated 07/27/2026 | Published 07/26/2026

Question:

Hi, I have a 2006 Fleetwood Sea Pine popup that had a flat with my 4 year old Kenda LoadStar ST 175/80 D 13. Minimal miles, inflated to 54 lbs. Might have blown on a gravel road pothole. Do you have suggestions for replacement? Thanks.

Hey Eric, sorry to hear about your blowout! For a tire replacement in the size of ST175/80-13 I would normally recommend a radial like the Karrier part # KE78KV as they just are all around better than bias ply tires like what you have now. I can tell this by your tire size ending in D13. A radial ends with R13.

Now if you were wanting to just replace the single tire that had issues I recommend sticking with bias ply so that everything matches and performs the same. For that the part # AM1ST76 would work great.

Your best solution would be radials on both sides of your trailer but if you are going to just replace the one tire it's best to stick with what you have now.

Worth mentioning is that blowouts are usually due to heat build up which can be caused by under inflated tires or exceeding the speed rating of the tire. Make sure you inflate your tires to the max pressure rating that is on the sidewall of the tire.
