Hey Russel, congrats on the new motorhome. To flat tow your 2007 Jeep Wrangler JKU with an aftermarket front bumper, I recommend the following parts:
Wiring Harness - Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit item # RM-15267
Battery Disconnect - Roadmaster Battery Disconnect for Towed Vehicle w/ Flat Tow Brake System item # RM-766
Supplemental Braking System - Blue Ox Patriot Portable Flat Tow Brake System item # BLU37TR
What aftermarket bumper do you have and does it have D-rings to connect a tow bar to? If it does I'll need to know the thickness of the D-rings to recommend the correct adapter. There's different sized D-ring adapters that work with different tow bars so once I get some more information from you, I can recommend a tow bar too.
You can add this information, along with any other questions you have, where it says Add Comment.

The blue ox rig described works exceptionally well I tow a 2019 2-Door Jeep Wrangler JL (on 34s with a 2” lift) behind my 2023 Jeep Gladiator with MaxTow. I’ve pulled through the Applachians and the Rockies. Only remote issue is the blue ox can get hot mid-summer.

It was a learning curve, you must set up after turning off engine, and you must make sure your seat is locked into place if your seats are manually adjusted. If you don’t do those two things it will alarm and will brake on you…also removed the rubber mat at their suggestion. No problems on last trip! We pull a little Honda crv and it pulls great!

I bought a 2016/17 minni winni that was set up with blue ox tow bar. We bought the "toad" car that was set up for this RV later and added the disconnect and purchased the Patriot brake device as the previous owner did not use a brake. Brake has been obstinate to set up. Bought a 2011 Jeep wrangler 2dr with 34 inch tires and 4 in lift with after market front bumper. To keep tow bar riser to minimum bought and installed the baseplate and disconnect switch as we had everything else. Not to hard to do. 2 years and tows good so far. Brake set up still obstinate but much less than with car tow. I swap around "toads" and needed.

Russell, I bought the Blue Ox system from etrailer including the Patriot Brake system. It is easy to hook up the "toad" and everything works just great. Brake is easy to put in the vehicle and works effectively. No regrets at all on the system. I have a 43 foot Class A Coach and we pull a GMC Terrain. I literally have to remind myself that it is back there. Keith
