I put one on my GMC Terrain Denali 2.0l a while back and have been towing small utility trailers and kayaks for a while. Just bought a boat and this hitch was perfect for it. 500 lb tongue weight is a little overboard for the back of the GMC, but keeping the trailer tongue load around 300 lbs is well under max load and the Terrain handled it well which is why I went this route.
