Will MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit With 2-1/4" Shackles Fit 2019 Grand Design Solitude 2930RL

Question:

I have a 2019 Grand Design Solitude 2930RL. The suspension is an equaflex that uses 2 1/2 inch on center shackles. Can I use MR46ZR with the 2 1/4 inch on center shackles without compromising the suspension.

Hey Jim! You can definitely use the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit # MR46ZR on your Grand Design. Those shackle straps were actually originally 2-1/4" so these will be an exact match. They're probably a little worn which is why you measured 2-1/2". They are the now discontinued Lippert 122487, which was a 2-1/4" shackle link.

Where are you headed next with the Solitude once you get the MORryde kit installed?

I use this kit when I replaced all four springs on a solitude last year were great customer like the installation and as far as I know, they’re still working well today.

I added the suspension upgrade kit along with cre3000, to my Sporttrek Touring Edition. Made a great upgrade. I also added sumo springs, less item movements in my trailer. Another upgrade I did was all new axles with electric over hydraulic disc brakes. A substantial difference in stopping.

I've installed this kit on my Cougar fifth wheel and actually notice a positive difference in towing. I like the idea that this kit has grease fittings so my guess is that it will last much longer that the original shackles.
