Question:
After purchasing a 2025 Silverado I discovered an issue that the 2014 did not have. Looks like I need the Furrion 7-Way Vehicle Power Adapter for 2025 Silverado for Furrion Camera system to work. Is it possible to locate the adapter where the existing one is? It looks like I should be able to move the original adapter to the underside of the bed and install the new adapter to the bumper, so that it is not just hanging there. Suggestions?

Hey Ron! The 7-Way Vehicle Power Adapter # FR87PR will have to plug into the 7-way and hang off at the rear. The connections underneath your truck for the 7-way are USCAR which is different than the 7-way itself at the bumper.
If you would rather not have this hanging off the truck, I would consider hard wiring the 12V PWM Filter for RV Backup Camera Systems # VGR64VR on the trailer side. This does the same thing and completely eliminates the need for an additional adapter.
What kind of trailer are you towing?

Ron. I installed the filter on my 2019 escape trailer on the power line just inside the wall of the trailer behind the camera. The seven pin trailer connector and 2024 Silverado 1500 7 pin receiver worked just fine with this setup. I still think Furrion should be including this filter with the camera but it is what it is. Works great!!

Hi Ron, I used the PWM filter right in the housing of the backup camera on a cougar. It’s a little tight but it fits and works well. That way I didn’t have to alter the 7 way connection in the bed of the truck for my fifth wheel. Just a suggestion, four bucks more but in my opinion, well worth it.
