Question:

I was looking for a 72inch 4 lug axle with 58inch spring center. I found 3 e62Yr , 20440I EZ-72 and the 20440I-ST-72. Why do the prices range from $226 to $349. I tried to compare the specs on each but I am not sure if I missed something on them. Thank You, Angelo

The main difference between these two axles is really the manufacturer. Both are 2k lb idler hub axles with the same 72" hub face measurement, 58" spring center measurement and 4 on 4 bolt pattern, so they'll fit and function very similarly.

The Dexter axle # 20440I-ST-72 is built by Dexter, which is one of the most well known names in the trailer industry and is often preferred by those who specifically want the Dexter brand.

Our etrailer axle # e62YR is a more budget friendly option that offers the same fit and performance. It's a great choice if you're looking for a reliable replacement axle while keeping costs down.

If you're simply replacing an axle and the dimensions match your trailer, the etrailer axle is typically the better value. If brand preference is important to you or you want to stay with Dexter components, the Dexter axle would be the way to go.

Hi James, Thank you for your reply. My trailer is normaly used for hauling dirt and mulch. I occasionally transport a 4 - wheeler to our other property which is mostly highway travel , 4 hour trips. Angelo
