When you’re hauling serious weight, nothing’s worse than rear-end sag throwing off your balance. The Timbren Suspension Enhancement System – Severe Service – Rear Axle adds up to 8,600 lbs of load-leveling capacity to keep your ride level and stable. Each hollow rubber spring stiffens progressively as more weight is added, working with your factory suspension to reduce squat and maintain even handling when towing or carrying heavy gear.

Rough roads and heavy loads can make a truck feel like it’s taking a beating. Timbren’s Aeon hollow rubber springs cushion impacts by acting as shock absorbers that take the brunt of bumps and potholes. The rubber design compresses along its folds for a progressive feel—soft when lightly loaded, firm when you’re at capacity—so you get a smoother, more controlled ride without bottoming out or stressing your leaf springs.

Sharp turns or uneven loads can cause sway and body roll that make driving uncomfortable. These springs work independently on each side of the axle to keep your vehicle planted through corners, crosswinds, or when loads are off-center. The independent action also helps keep the trailer in line by reducing the turbulence transferred from your vehicle, improving overall stability and safety.

Getting better load support shouldn’t mean tearing the truck apart. This kit includes two Aeon hollow rubber springs, custom-fit brackets, and hardware for a straightforward bolt-on install. The brackets mount directly to the frame above the rear axle with no drilling required. Once installed, the system automatically engages as the load increases—no air hoses, compressors, or manual adjustments needed—so you’re always ready for the next haul.
Timbren springs will not increase your vehicle's weight-carrying capacity. Do not exceed the manufacturer's recommended weight limit.

The reality of how long it took to install was misrepresented. I am 74 years old and my wife and I installed these bump stops in about a 2 hour span including rest time. We actually expected that. The results were as promised and I truly appreciate that.
I tow a RZR in a covered trailer just under 5K, including tools and supplies. Just bought this 2022 F150 and there was a slight amount of sag when pulling the trailer. I decided to try the Timbrens hoping they would not stiffen the normal ride. They work as advertised-us9ing the spacer. Easy install too.
Quality product, I have owned Timbrens before. They work good. Installation is fairly easy depending on your skill level. Etrailer as always - great!
Do not keep vehicle level. 800 Lb. tongue weight trail still lowers rear of truck approximately 4 inches. 3500 GMC Dually 4x4
My advice is don't be lazy just go with air bags.
They say satisfaction guaranteed defiantly not satisfied and will be less than happy if they charge me a restocking fee on a bad product. I should have known better.
They work well when you are pulling a heavy load but when you are driving the pickup empty they ride really rough. I removed them after about 3 months of use and went with air bags instead.
It would be helpful if the kit contained all the hardware to attach it to the truck. I purchased this to replace a Loadlifter 5000 that was installed 9 years ago. I don’t have the OEM clip and nuts that goes into the frame. It took hours of searching before I finally figured out I could find it on the Ford suspension schematics.
Time will tell! Fast and easy install on my 2012 custom flatbed tundra. Hoping this will help when I overload my truck. I have about 900 lbs of extra weight on my truck at all times + Old man Emu heavy duty leaf springs.
Love my Timbrens. Had airbags and was tired of leaks and the need to adjust air pressure. Easy to install!
They are difficult to seat. Soapy water does nothing to help. I had to spray with silicon, jack up the back of the truck and place 2x4's between the bump stop and the axle,NUMEROUS TIMES.
Once I towed my 5th wheel I noticed the difference. When unloaded, the ride is normal.
The Timbrens arrived and install was a breeze. Look to be of very good quality. I went with the severe duty because my truck is always loaded up with camping supplies, electric bikes tools…. The topper on back along with the slide tray are added weight. I pull a 7k travel Trailer with 650-700 pounds on hitch. The Timbrens are barely touching the axel without the trailer. I really enjoy dealing with etrailer. They answer all your questions and always put the customer first. It’s kind of like your project is their project.
I ran air bags on my previous trucks when pulling my 5th wheel and trailers, but these worked just as well without the expense. I run them on a F350. Great product!!!
Really won't know until I put my truck camper on the vehicle. Product looks and feels quality, we'll see about performance. Installation instructions could be a bit more detailed.
Works well on my F250 6.75 bed with a 1700lb dry Capri Retreat camper. Solved 4" squat without airbags. Eliminated sway in high winds.
I have Timbrens on an F350. We have a heavy truck camper that we use multiple times a year. I've had both these and airbags on multiple rigs over the years and the Timbrens are superior by far especially because they don't leak at the connections, valves or bags or work loose. They also help with the sway.
There is no pump or electrical involved. Airbags have just too many parts and potential points of failure guaranteed to happen away from home on a muddy road. Once Timbres are installed you're done. In this case the less expensive and simpler solution is the better one!
i thought they were too stiff, im not using them
Ways to Steph for my truck with a commercial cap in my tools
Well made product, which arrived quicker than expected. etrailer’s customer service responded quickly when I asked if this would fit my truck. I am a fan of etrailer and appreciate their support and service.
Unfortunately this product does not work for my vehicle. I purchased these to augment the amount of squat my 2020 1500 Denali has when pulling a camper. Once installed and the camper hooked up we experienced a complete bottoming out of the vehicle even on the smallest of bumps. We had to remove the Timbren’s immediately.
For those of you who own a GMC Denali equipped with a magnet suspension, this product will not work for you. To date, I have looked at many options and have not found one that will fit this vehicle.
Installed them on my 2025 GMC 1500 Sierra for a truck camper. The ride was awful without the camper. It also didn’t do the job with the camper on. Bought Firestone air ride bags instead.

I reached out to the manufacturer to confirm if the magnetic suspension made a difference in fitment and they said it doesnt. So it sounds like these do fit like they should, which is good. To your point though, they are very stiff and unless your truck has a slide on camper or is carrying a tank of water or a similar scenario, these are most likely too heavy duty, which would explain the uncomfortable ride. I think you would like part # SS45FR. It has a similar install and work the same way but they are softer so it will still support your suspension without you feeling every little bump and crevice in the road.
