Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer. Today we're gonna take a look at this Kenda Karrier KR35 ST185/80R13 radial trailer tire and it's in a load range D and it's mounted on this 13 inch series AM08 white aluminum trailer wheel with the five on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now this tire, wheel assembly is ideal for utility trailers, cargo trailers, and campers. This assembly will come all prem mounted and aired up. so it's ready to install right out of the box.

The wheel, if you notice, is an aluminum wheel. It's durable, lightweight, and rust proof. And this is the series AM08 five spoke design. And you can see this wheel is in a white color, nice, bright white, but if you also look, there's the edge of the spokes has a nice machine finished to 'em to give a little shine to the wheel. The front and even the back of the wheel are clear coated for protection.

Now if you notice, this does not have the center cap. It is not included. If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately on our website. You do wanna make sure to get a center cap that'll have the same diameter as this pilot hole. 'cause when you install that center cap, it's gonna slide through this hole.

The diameter on this pilot hole is 3.19 inches. Now the wheel itself 13 inch diameter width on just the wheels 4 1/2 inches wide. The bolt pattern on this wheel is a five on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern. And if you wanna measure that on a wheel like this, it's an odd number of lugs. What you'll do is pick any hole, let's say this one, then you're gonna measure across to either one of these holes, but when you measure, it's from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of the hole that you measure to.

So this one, if we put a rule on, it'd be 4 1/2 inches. So that's telling you it's a five lug, 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Does use a wheel lug size of a half inch by 20, and the weight capacity on just the wheel is 1,740 pounds. Now the tire that's mounted on this wheel, it is a Kenda Karrier KR35. It is an ST radial trailer tire. Has a nice computer designed footprint for exceptional wear across many different loads, and it gives you superior traction, wet or dry conditions. We mentioned it's an ST tire that stands for Special Trailer tire, so it has the sturdy sidewalls that can handle heavy loads, created specifically for trailers. It's not intended for use on other vehicles. Does use durable steel belts and a nice full nylon ply on this tire will combine for superior function and long life. And the tire size will be stamped on the sidewall. Right here you'll see ST for Special Trailer 175/80R13. The R means it's a radial tire. Section width 6.8 inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's inflated, it's 24.1 inches. This is a load range D tire, which means it's an eight ply rate of tire. So it does have a maximum load capacity, 1,650 pounds at 70 PSI. And this tire also does come with a speed rating. And the speed rating they stamp on the sidewall but it isn't a letter designation and you'll find it right after the tire size. You'll see two numbers for the load index and then the letter N. Speed rating N means it has an 87 mile hour speed rating. Now this tire wheel somewhat does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications. But that is gonna do it for a look at this Kenda Karrier KR35 ST185/80R13 radial trailer tire, in a load range D, mounted on this 13 inch series AM08 white aluminum trailer wheel.
