Hello Lou,

Thanks for writing in.

Since your 2025 Jayco Pinnacle 38FBRK has 8,000 lb axles with 3-inch diameter axle tubes, the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Shock Absorbers # RM-2460 would not be the correct kit. That kit is designed for tandem axle trailers with 5,200 lb to 7,000 lb axles, so it would not be the right match for your 8K axle setup.

For shocks only, you would want the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Shock Absorbers for Tandem Axle Trailers # RM-2470. This is the correct shock kit for tandem 8,000 lb axles and is the best choice if you want to keep your current suspension but add shock absorption to help reduce road shock and vibration while towing.

If you are wanting the more complete upgrade, then I would go with the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit with Shocks # RM-2460-2580. Since your trailer has 8K axles with 3-inch axle tubes, this is the correct full Comfort Ride system to look at instead of the 5.2K to 7K axle version. I attached an installed picture showing how it would replace your current set-up.

For installation, make sure the trailer frame is safely supported and the axles can hang freely before removing or loosening suspension components. I would also use the install as a good time to inspect the leaf springs, bushings, equalizers, wet bolts, and U-bolts, since everything is easier to access while the suspension is apart. Be sure to follow Roadmaster’s torque specs in the instructions and recheck the hardware after your first few trips.

Are you looking to add shocks only, or are you planning to do the full suspension upgrade before your next trip with the Pinnacle?

Added the shock kitty our 27BN fifth wheel, this helped with chucking and most issues inside the camper. it was a easy two day install, well with the effort.

I have a 2025 Pinnacle 32rlts and installed the Comfort ride without the leaf spring kit. Very easy install and completely satisfied with them, much better handling on rough road, don’t forget to balance your tires

@Tim Good call out with tires Tim. Trailer tires do not come balanced as they are built to carry a load, I have a lot of neighbors (customers) that take them to their local shop to get them balanced.

Hi, lou. They were a great investment, made a huge difference in the towing, I thought that it would improve the materials moving about inside. Didn't notice much difference in that. But I also traveled with my trailer way under capacity.

I added the shock kit to my 3101 RL Heartland. It removed almost all of the chucking I was getting and knocked down a lot of the road noise. I also added a sway bar. All in all I am very pleased with this kit and highly recommend it.

@Thomas Thanks for the response Thomas! I hear about the shocks helping with the chucking all the time, so happy that it could help with that.
